Job summary

Otter Tail Power Company seeks a Physical Security Specialist I or II in Fergus Falls, MN to protect people, facilities, and critical infrastructure. The role focuses on designing and maintaining security systems, performing risk assessments, and supporting security programs across the organization.

The position reports to Manager IT I, Security, with level determined by experience. Suitable candidates collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and emergency responders to strengthen security

Qualifications

• Experience in physical security, facilities, operations, engineering, law enforcement, emergency management, risk management, or related field.
• Ability to independently manage projects and lead workstreams.
• Knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, investigations and incident response.
• Bachelor's degree and professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and maintain physical security technologies (access control, video, intrusion, visitor management).
• Conduct risk assessments, site reviews, security inspections, vulnerability assessments.
• Analyze logs, surveillance data, alarms, and incident reports for trends and vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate security initiatives with internal departments, vendors, law enforcement, and responders.
• Lead security projects, investigations, or programme governance; support incident response.
