The Physical Security Operator safeguards critical electrical energy infrastructure in compliance with federal, state, and industry standards. The role emphasizes public‑ safety coordination, private‑sector field communications, and critical infrastructure protection, including familiarity with NERC CIP requirements, and ensures effective communication between internal teams and external agencies.
Team members are required to participate in response and recovery activities related to emergencies and disasters to maintain service to TECO customers. Responding to storms will be considered a condition of employment. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with company rules and procedures.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Standing and walking for extended periods.
Ability to climb stairs.
