Job summary

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking a dedicated Physical Security/Information Assurance Specialist to provide PS/IA support for collateral, SCI and SAP systems in line with JAFAN 6/3 and 6/9 guidance.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years related experience in security or IA fields.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or equivalent experience (4 years).
• Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DCID and JAFAN physical security and IA requirements.
• Maintain accreditation documentation for facilities with internal networks and guest systems.
• Conduct physical and technical security actions and procedures (TEMPEST/TSCM).
• Assist with implementation of the information assurance program.
• Author, review, and maintain Certification and Accreditation documentation.
• Enforce personnel security controls for visitors and un-cleared personnel.
• Enforce physical security controls of electronic devices and inspections.
• Identify IA and physical security vulnerabilities and ensure JAFAN 6/9 compliance.
• Conduct IA & PS self-inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Review IA new user training and refresher training.

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, detail orientated, and talented individual for the position of Physical Security/Information Assurance Specialist.

Job Description:

Summary:ThePhysical Security/Information AssuranceSpecialist’s provides physical security (PS) and information assurance (IA) support for collateral, SCI and SAP systems in accordance with JAFAN 6/3 and JAFAN 6/9 and other DoD and national guidance for facilities with internal networks and guest systems.

• Responsible to the Chief of Security for ensuring compliance with DCID and JAFAN physical security and IA requirements and maintaining accreditation documentation
• Conduct or manage physical and technical security (TEMPEST/TSCM) actions and procedures
• Conduct preconstruction reviews and makes recommendations for compliance with guidance for construction, expansion and modifications of facilities
• Assist the Information Assurance Manager with implementation of the information assurance program
• Author, review and maintain Certification and Accreditation documentation
• Assist with enforcement of personnel security controls for visitors and un-cleared personnel requiring entry to the facility
• Enforce physical security controls of electronic devices and prohibited items; conduct entry/exit inspections
• Identify IA and physical security vulnerabilities and ensure JAFAN 6/9 compliance
• Conduct periodic IA & PS self-inspections and implement corrective actions
• Review, track and conduct IA new user and refresher training
• Implement local media control policies and procedures

Requirement:

• Five (5) to Seven (7) years related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or equivalent experience (Four (4) years)
• Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of the date of hire.

SecurityRequirements:

• Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs
• Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph

Skills:

• Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate DCIDs/JAFANs and other guiding policy documents
• Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
• Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation)

Physical Requirements: This position requires employees to be willing and able to: sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.
