Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a System Engineer to support a large commercial client in California. The ideal candidate has a background in physical security and hands-on experience with CCURE or Genetec, helping design, test, and document security solutions for data centers and large buildings.

Responsibilities include lab evaluations, test plans, and end-to-end testing, coordinating with hardware, software, facilities, and personnel to deliver reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of physical security experience.
• Strong access control system experience with CCURE or Genetec.
• Experience supporting large commercial or federal security build-outs.
• Extensive experience in testing, programming, and configuring physical security systems.
• Develop proof of concepts, test plans, and other necessary engineering documentation for the client.
• Any certifications
• Any AI experience

• Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Participate in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups throughout the life cycle.
• Develops system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis.
• Provide technical direction for development, interfacing, integration, and testing of components across complex hardware/software systems.
• Develop scenarios and an Operational Concept describing interactions between system, user and environment.
• Review and/or approve system engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare time-line analysis diagrams illustrating flow of time-dependent functions.

Insight Global is seeking a System Engineer to support a large commercial client. This candidate must have a physical security background and experience supporting access control systems (Software house CCure or Genetec). The will be responsible for performing lab evaluations including setting up test environments, developing test plans and associated documentation, and executing testing for physical security equipment. This candidate will be supporting a mixture of data center work and large commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market surveys, lab evaluations, proof of concepts, and pilots of various physical security technologies.
• Assists with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Participates in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycle.
• Develops system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis.
• Provides technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis.
• Develops scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, that satisfies operational, support, maintenance, and disposal needs.
• Reviews and/or approves system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete.
• Prepares time-line analysis diagrams illustrating the flow of time-dependent functions.
