Insight Global is seeking a Lead Security Engineer in California to guide design, integration, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise physical security systems. You will lead engineering teams, influence architecture decisions, and advise internal stakeholders and customers.

The role requires 5+ years in physical security, strong access control experience, and proven leadership on large deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with 5+ years in physical security.
• Strong experience with access control systems (Software House CCURE or Genetec).
• Experience supporting large commercial or federal security build-outs.
• Extensive testing, programming, and configuration of physical security systems.
• Develops proof of concepts, test plans and engineering documentation.
• Experience leading technical teams and oversight on large-scale security projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to support a large commercial client responsible for the design, integration, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise physical security systems. This individual will serve as a technical leader, providing guidance to engineering teams, driving system architecture decisions, and acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market surveys, lab evaluations, proof of concepts, and pilots of various physical security technologies.
• Assists with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Participates in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycle.
• Develops system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis.
• Provides technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems, including requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end‑to‑end flow analysis.
• Develops scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, satisfying operational, support, maintenance, and disposal needs.
• Reviews and/or approves system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete.
• Prepares time‑line analysis diagrams illustrating the flow of time‑dependent functions.
