Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Business Development Manager in the Physical Sciences within the Technology Opportunities & Ventures unit. The role focuses on disclosure, protection, and commercialization of NYU inventions across physical sciences, software, medical devices, and digital health.

You will engage researchers, coordinate with principal investigators, perform investor outreach, negotiate licenses, and monitor agreements while developing new commercialization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering is required.
• Excellent administrative, negotiating, interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to work with senior management, academic scientists, and industry executives to achieve consensus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Researchers: meet with researchers to understand their work and explain IP considerations.
• Coordinate with PIs and scientists to deliver results and respond to inquiries.
• Negotiate license and research agreements with external companies in consultation with leadership.
• Monitor signed agreements and maintain long-term relationships with industry partners.
• Identify potential commercial partners and market NYU inventions and research.
