Job summary

The US Military Treatment Facilities under DHA at Camp Lejeune seeks a candidate to assist in maintaining master inventory records for sealed radioactive sources and radiation detection equipment. The work involves RAM security checks and QC record reviews for imaging modalities.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) assisting maintaining the master inventory records for all sealed radioactive sources and radiation detection equipment; 2) performing physical checks of Radioactive Material (RAM) security to verify correct radiation signage; 3) assisting in performing a first-level check of Quality Control (QC) records for all imaging modalities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).

Education

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as Medical Physics or Radiological Sciences.

Combination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.
