Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculations include 75th percentile 3-year Average AAMC salary benchmark for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, ranging from $285,511-$373,046. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

The University of California Irvine Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) is seeking a physician-scientist with research expertise to join as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Clinical Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, depending on qualifications. Applicants should be board-certified or board-eligible in PM&R and eligible for a California medical license by the start date.
Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent will conduct research, provide patient care, teach, and perform service. Excellence in teaching is essential. All ranks require substantial research experience and leadership or significant contribution to research programs, including clinical-translational projects, health services research, educational scholarship, or bench research.
The department offers diverse clinical care at UCI Health locations, inpatient consultation, and ambulatory services. The team cares for patients with various rehab diagnoses in multiple settings.
UCI Medical Center is a 459-bed hospital, region's only Level I trauma center, rated among America's Best Hospitals for 21 years, and building a new world-class hospital, UCI Medical Center-Irvine. UCI Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a new 52-bed facility, is under construction.
