Clinical Urologic Oncologist, Open Ranks (Asst., Assoc.)

The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Urology anticipates openings in the Clinical X Series.

Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Urology ranging from $220,000 to $420,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Criteria for the Professor of Clinical “X” Series: The incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research, provide patient care, teach fellows, residents, and medical students, and perform public and University service.

Position: Full-time clinical professorial position for a fellowship-trained urologist in Urologic Oncology. The applicant must also be board-certified or eligible and fellowship-trained in Urologic Oncology. Applicants with training and experience in laparoscopy and robotic surgery will receive priority consideration. Applicants must demonstrate an outstanding research record, along with evidence of excellence in teaching and service.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a busy urologic oncology practice with a major emphasis on less invasive oncology, including laparoscopic, endoscopic, percutaneous needle ablative, and robotic techniques. The practice is based at both the University of California, Irvine’s Medical Centers located in Orange and Irvine.

Requirements: Candidates must possess an MD degree and be eligible for California licensure.

The academic appointment level will be recommended based on training and experience.
