Job summary

Insight Global is seeking two Physical Design Engineers to join a leading semiconductor company in Colorado Springs or San Jose. The role covers RTL-to-silicon tape-out, requiring deep knowledge of synthesis, verification, and timing closure across complete PD flows.

You will collaborate with RTL engineers and IC designers on floorplanning, layout, P&R, and clock-tree synthesis, contributing to AI/ML PCIe switch and enterprise storage products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, electrical/electronics engineering preferred.
• Full physical design cycle experience from RTL to tape-out; GDSII experience is a plus.
• TCL/Perl scripting experience for flow automation.
• Experience with floor planning, layout, place-and-route, and timing closure.

Insight Global is looking for two Physical Design Engineers to join a leading semiconductor company sitting in Colorado Springs or San Jose. This position involves working with the latest technology to continue driving next generation Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning ecosystems through their PCIe Switch Products – and managing mega datacenters, while leading world class performance, through their Enterprise Storage Products. More specifically, this position will require in-depth knowledge and expertise in all Physical Design aspects of taking RTL to silicon tape-out.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors with 5-8 years of experience, or Masters with 3-8 years of experience
• Full physical design cycle experience: RTL to Tape-out/GDSII
• TCL/PERL Scripting experience
• Experience with Setup and Synthesizing RTL
• Experience with Floor Planning and Layout, Place and Route, and Timing Closure
• Bachelor’s degree required (preferably Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering but can be flexible with right work experience)
