Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage is offering an internship placement for undergraduates. The role focuses on the Digital Design and Manufacturing Service improvements within the Physical Design PMTD team.

You will help deploy new tools (3DExperience/Catia V6) and document lean process changes while collaborating with stakeholders. The internship emphasizes CAD/CAM proficiency, some programming skills, and eligibility as an undergraduate for the full duration of the placement.

Qualifications

• Ideally currently studying a Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Experience and knowledge of CAD/CAM tools, knowledge of the Dassault System tools (Catia V5 or V6, Delmia, Apriso) is preferred.
• Some programming skills (VB, VB.net, php, mysql, C#).

Responsibilities

• Work within the Physical Design PMTD team on the DDMS improvement project to deliver significant financial savings through digitalisation of end-to-end processes.
• Specify, develop and document process changes for deploying the new toolset (including 3DExperience / Catia V6).
• Produce a final report to be presented to department managers and key stakeholders at the end of the placement.
