Fusion Academy, a private 1-to-1 program serving grades 5–12 in Oak Brook, IL, seeks a Physical & Health Education Teacher. You will design personalized PE/health lessons, mentor students, and collaborate with families while contributing to campus culture.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, ongoing professional development, and a commitment to meeting diverse learners’ needs in a dynamic, student-centered environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education
• Minimum of 20 college credits in Kinesiology, Anatomy, Physiology, and/or Physical Education
• Expertise in the subject area
• Enrollment in a Personal Trainer program or certification
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to teach a wide variety of PE & health courses with provided curriculum/resources
• Experience with diverse learners including neurodiversity and mental health challenges
• Mentoring experience and passion for social-emotional learning
• Outgoing, adaptable, and growth-oriented attitude
• Tech-savvy and open to learning new tools
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Growth mindset with problem-solving flexibility
• Florida residents require level 2 background screening

As a Physical & Health Education Teacher, you’ll have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues. What We’re Looking For:

• Previous education or experience must include one, or a combination of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education

• Minimum of 20 college credits in Kinesiology, Anatomy, Physiology, and/or Physical Education

• Expertise in the relevant subject area

• Enrollment in a program for, or completion of, a Personal Trainer certification

• Current CPR Certification

• Ability and willingness to teach a wide variety of PE & health courses (athletic sports, dance, board sports, personal fitness, group classes, health), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.

• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.

• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.

• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.

• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.
