Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center seeks a board-certified or eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician to join a comprehensive program providing both inpatient and outpatient services, with a focus on limb loss and prosthetic rehabilitation.

The ideal candidate will lead quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical operations across the continuum, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance CARF-accredited limb loss care and related initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Eligibility for unrestricted PA medical licensure.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation medicine.
• Demonstrated expertise in limb loss and prosthetic rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PM&R care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluate and manage inpatients with limb loss and related conditions.
• Lead interdisciplinary rehabilitation team conferences and care planning.
• Perform prosthetic evaluations and collaborate with prosthetists/orthotists.
• Coordinate care transitions across care settings and participate in call coverage.
• Develop pathways for amputation care and prosthetic rehabilitation; educate patients and families.
