Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician to join a comprehensive rehabilitation medicine program providing both inpatient and outpatient services.

The ideal candidate has expertise in limb loss rehabilitation and prosthetic rehabilitation, with interest in medical leadership, quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical operations.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Eligibility for unrestricted PA medical licensure.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation medicine.
• Demonstrated expertise in limb loss and prosthetic rehabilitation.
• Strong interdisciplinary team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PM&R care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Evaluate and manage inpatients with stroke, spinal cord injury, TBI, and amputee-related conditions.
• Lead interdisciplinary rehabilitation team conferences and care planning.
• Perform prosthetic evaluations and collaborate with prosthetists/orthotists to optimize outcomes.
• Manage pre- and post-prosthetic rehabilitation, including gait training.
• Coordinate care transitions across acute, inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
• Participate in call coverage as assigned.
• Support growth of limb loss rehabilitation program in collaboration with surgical teams.
