The candidate should be detail-oriented with a track record in unit testing, code reviews, and delivering reliable software solutions. On-site work preferred; on-call duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Four years of professional-level PHP 5 experience, including MVC frameworks.
• Knowledge of unit testing and its benefits.
• Software testing and design experience.
• Established portfolio of work and code samples.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements, implement solutions and provide tools and documentation
• Perform scheduled on-call duties
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Maintain and enhance existing development processes to measure and verify that code has acceptable performance and scalability
• Deliver accurate estimates, provide regular feedback and consistently meet project deadlines
• Explain complex ideas and concepts to non-technical team members
• Write and modify code for eight or more hours a day
