Cogent Communications is seeking a PHP Developer to design, develop, and maintain several in-house business applications supporting Corporate Sales, Operations, and Finance. Under a technical lead, you will gather requirements, prototype, refine feedback, and complete development, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PHP web development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with the Laravel Framework.
• 2+ years of full-time experience with MySQL and/or MSSQL.
• Proficiency with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Experience in all phases of SDLC and revision control.
• Ability to gather requirements from non-technical users and explain clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technology gaps, research, develop, and deploy software solutions.
• Define sprints and associated deliverables with project leads.
• Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code.
• Perform integration, testing, and bug fixes for software maintenance.
• Develop UI and APIs, set design priorities and test methods.
• Create technical documentation and user guides for the applications.
