Cogent Communications is seeking a dedicated SQL & PHP Developer to support the development and maintenance of data-driven applications, dashboards, and forecasting solutions. The role focuses on SQL query and stored procedure development, with a clear path to expand into PHP development.

The position measures data accuracy for operational reporting and analytics, requiring a strong analytical mindset and experience across the SDLC. Hybrid work options may be available depending on the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of SQL Server experience.
• 1+ years of PHP web development.
• 1+ years of experience with the Laravel Framework.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and modify existing queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with SDLC and revision control systems.

Responsibilities

• Support applications, reporting, dashboards, analytics, and other business processes.
• Analyze existing SQL queries and stored procedures to understand business logic and data relationships.
• Create efficient SQL queries to retrieve, transform, and organize data.
• Troubleshoot incorrect or unexpected query results and optimize SQL logic.
• Progress from SQL to PHP development and back-end application work as needed.
• Document stored procedures, complex queries, and data logic as appropriate.
