The role liaises between customers and engineering/manufacturing, ensuring custom solutions meet requirements. It involves occasional travel and ITAR compliance, with a pay range of $69,000 to $80,000 per year.

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident required for ITAR products.
• Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics or engineering related field.
• 2+ years of experience with optics and optical systems.
• Experience in technical sales or applications support is ideal.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced proficiency in Outlook and Excel, CRM or ERP/MRP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Field and Inside Sales to provide technical expertise during sales lead qualification and opportunity development.
• Capture requirements for custom requests, communicate Thorlabs capabilities and technical services.
• Coordinate with internal engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure custom solutions meet customer needs.
