Work spans from simulations to packaging for aerospace and national security platforms. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in RF/photonic IC work, strong tool experience (Lumerical, HFSS, Cadence AWR), and a DoD security mindset.

Qualifications

  • Degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, microelectronics, physics, or similar field.
  • B.S. with 5-8 years relevant work experience; or M.S. with 3-6 years; or Ph.D. with 0-3 years.
  • Graduation date no later than May 2027 for MS/PhD candidates.
  • Experience with photonic and RF simulation software (Lumerical, OptSim, VPI Photonics, Opti-Designer) or RF tools (HFSS, Cadence AWR, Keysight ADS, Silvaco TCAD, Altium Designer).
  • Experience with IC design and layout tools (Cadence, Synopsis, KLayout, Calibre).
  • Experience measuring with spectrum analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power meters, and signal analyzers.
  • Good understanding of photonics or RF engineering, fabrication techniques, or device physics.
  • Experience with MATLAB or Python.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities
