The Georgia Tech Research Institute's Photonics and Microelectronics Division seeks an entry-level Applied Physicist to contribute to research across optical, RF, and photonic subsystems, performing experiments, modeling data, and assisting with hardware integration. You will engage in benchtop experiments, build and test RF and photonic subsystems, and support cubesat hardware development in a collaborative, high-velocity environment.

Qualifications

• Requires enrollment in an accredited degree program with graduation date no later than May 2027.
• B.S. degree in applied physics, electrical engineering, physics, microelectronics, or optical sciences.
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python.

Responsabilités

• Perform basic tests, experiments, calculations, and simulations to determine physical parameters and data.
• Conduct literature surveys on research topics.
• Generate documentation of experiments and results.
