Job summary

Monarch Quantum is seeking a Senior Reliability Project Engineer to drive the reliability program across our hardware platform. You will lead testbed initiatives, own FMEA processes, and collaborate with vendors to ensure robust design and integration.

This hands-on role requires a startup mindset, end-to-end project execution, and expertise in HALT/RDT strategies to advance reliability growth in photonics components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required and 5+ years in hardware reliability or hardware quality engineering preferred.
• Proven track record leading hardware engineering projects or initiatives.
• Strong understanding of reliability, availability, and maintainability of complex hardware.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily execution of reliability engineering development activities, including a large testbed development initiative and vendor reliability initiatives.
• Own the risk identification failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) process.
• Develop photonics module reliability testing and HALT/RDT strategy.
• Lead system architecture reliability trade studies for design-for-repairability and prognostic data acquisition.
• Develop Reliability Characterization and Reliability Growth campaigns for photonics components.
• Provide technical, logistical and problem-solving leadership across projects; identify risks and opportunities.
• Ensure project execution per internal and customer defined processes, achieving milestone reviews and test events.
