Job summary

Monarch Quantum in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Principal Project Engineer to build our foundation from the ground up. You will lead development programs, define scope, schedule and budget, and represent the company in front of customers while guiding cross-functional teams to success.

You will apply advanced photonics and systems engineering expertise in a fast-paced startup, mentoring teams, mitigating risks, and implementing best practices to deliver milestones from requirements through

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.
• 18+ years of relevant experience, startup/tech background preferred.
• Proven record of leading photonic system development projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads planning and execution of development projects, responsible for scope, schedule and budget.
• Represents the company in front of customers and collaborates with functional managers to assure success.
• Manages matrixed technical teams through bottlenecks and changes while maintaining productivity and focus.
