The role spans concept to production, collaborating with electrical, optical, manufacturing, and supplier teams. You will design enclosures, fixtures, and packaging, assess tradeoffs, build prototypes, support DFx reviews, and maintain drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience in product development or manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, including part modeling, assemblies, detailed drawings, tolerancing, and design iteration.
• Hands-on experience building, assembling, troubleshooting, and testing mechanical or electromechanical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design precision mechanical modules, assemblies, enclosures, fixtures, and packaging for electromechanical, optoelectronic, and photonics products.
• Develop 3D part models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks with tolerancing.
• Translate concepts into manufacturable designs and evaluate mechanical tradeoffs.
• Build, troubleshoot, and test mechanical prototypes and production hardware.
• Collaborate with electrical, optical, manufacturing, and supplier teams to create manufacturable solutions.
