Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Ability to adapt and learn.

Responsibilities

• Work with high power (>1 kW) fiber amplifiers/lasers.
• Execute all optical, mechanical, and electrical assembly stations.
• Follow step-by-step work instructions to build high quality sub-assemblies.
• Perform tests including PER, M2, LIV, and spectral characterization.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and organization.
• Demonstrate proficiency with fiber handling and assembly.
• Operate fiber fusion splicers, fiber re-coaters, fiber cleavers, optical spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, power supplies, photo detectors, and oscilloscopes.
• Support Lean Initiatives including 3S weekly and 6S monthly activities.
• Demonstrate ability to adapt and learn.
• Assist with documentation as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and promote safe behaviors.
