Attalon, Inc. in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our manufacturing team.

You will perform detailed assembly on small components while following strict quality standards within a clean environment, using a high-power microscope and various tools to ensure precision and reliability. The role requires hands-on experience in electronics or photonics, familiarity with Oracle/Agile/ISO, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2–4 years’ experience in Electronics or Photonics field.
• Familiar with Oracle, Agile, ISO, basic computer skills.
• Experienced in the use of: DVMs, power supplies, and general test equipment.
• Experience using hand soldering equipment.
• Good hand and eye coordination is required.
• Ability to multi-task and switch from task to task at short notice is a desirable quality.
• Knowledge of production concepts such as calibration and quality systems.
• Skilled in use of electronic and optical test and measurement systems.
• Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work with others in a teamwork environment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of quality while functioning within a busy work environment.
• Ability to recognize potential problem areas & communicate with supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed assembly work on small components while following prescribed quality standards.
• Operate a high-power microscope.
• Follow all cleanroom procedures and policies.
• Perform various electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on assemblies.
• Maket setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specification.
• Routinely use hand tools, tweezers, oven, hot plates, crimps, and microscopes.
• Perform optics and crystal cleaning and handling.
• Clean and fasten optics and mechanical parts using solvents and adhesives.
• Maintain safe work environment and meet production goals.
• Transact work orders in Oracle and Cumulus systems.
• Seek additional tasks for completion anytime possible.
• Monitor in-process parts and communicate to inventory control.
• Provide feedback for workstation adjustments when needed.
• Prepare products for shipping with necessary documentation.
• Repair and document returned products for repair.
