Job summary

Hamamatsu Photonics is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team in a hands-on lab environment. You will set up experiments, troubleshoot components, and advise OEMs and end-users on technical solutions, while coordinating with our Japan-based team on custom projects.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in engineering or physics, have imaging technology experience, strong technical writing skills, and can travel up to 10% (international trips possible).

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Electrical, Optical, Mechanical) or Physics.
• Hands-on experience with imaging technology including UV-Visible and X-Ray imaging, microscopy, or light modulation.
• Demonstrated technical writing skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, possibly international.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run lab experiments to replicate customer scenarios.
• Test and troubleshoot components for demonstrations and returns.
• Provide technical support and product recommendations to OEM and end-users.
• Collaborate with our parent company in Japan on customizations and prototypes.
