Job summary
Lumilens in San Jose is seeking a Product Quality & Test Reliability Engineer to own the reliability vision for photonic components and SiPs. You will collaborate with R&D, design, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure product quality from development through transfer to production.
Ideal candidates have a strong background in photonics reliability, experience with ALT, failure analysis, and statistical methods, and can lead supplier qualification while shaping design-for-reliability practices
Qualifications
- MS or equivalent in EE, Photonics, Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
- Direct exposure to Silicon Photonics, laser technologies, and optical transceivers.
Responsibilities
- Drive reliability execution for photonic components including Silicon Photonics ICs, lasers, and Optoelectronic SiPs.
- Define and execute qualification plans per GR-468, JEDEC, and other standards.
- Conduct ALT, failure analysis, degradation modeling, and RCA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust development and transfer to production.
- Lead supplier qualification activities and implement supplier quality metrics.
- Develop and maintain Design for Reliability methodologies and predictive modeling.
- Prepare reliability reports and risk assessments for internal and customer engagements.
