Job summary

Philips is seeking a Research Scientist-Computed Tomography to advance image quality in photon counting CT systems. You will lead physics-based corrections, develop CT imaging features, and drive the CT imaging physics roadmap with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field, 2+ years of research experience, MATLAB/Python and C++, plus strong communication and regulatory awareness. This office‑based position is in Orange, OH, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• You have a Master’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of physics/medical imaging research.
• You bring CT/X-ray imaging expertise, signal processing, and reconstruction knowledge.
• You have experience with photon counting, spectral CT, and cone beam CT.
• You are proficient in MATLAB and Python; C++ is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply system‑level engineering to develop CT features, calibration, and image optimization.
• Investigate image quality issues during product introductions and in the field with data analysis.
• Develop physics‑based simulation tools; work in MATLAB with Python and C++ for performance pieces.
• Maintain CT physics expertise and contribute to regulatory and industry engagements.
• Own the CT imaging physics roadmap and collaborate with clinical, marketing, and systems teams.
