Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a dedicated graphics operator to support plate production for label printing. You will manage digital files, proof negatives and plates, and produce printing plates on schedule while coordinating with the Graphic Supervisor and Print Prep Technicians.

Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented with basic graphic knowledge, able to perform simple calculations, and capable of working as part of a team in a demanding manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling graphics files.
• Ability to follow specifications and perform basic math calculations.
• Basic graphic knowledge and an investigative approach to problems.

Responsibilities

• Handle digital files used to produce CTP and DLE plates.
• Proofread negatives and plates for accuracy.
• Produce printing plates for product labels according to the schedule.
• Communicate with Graphic Supervisor and Print Prep Technicians.
• Replenish supplies and materials for the assigned area.
• Inventory consumables and conduct material inspections.
• Maintain and clean machines; perform preventative maintenance.
• Other duties as directed by graphics department.

Provides support for the quality graphics function as directed.

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

• Handling of digital files used to produce CTP and DLE plates.
• Proofreads negatives and plates for accuracy.
• Produces printing plates for product labels according to the schedule.
• Communicating with Graphic Supervisor and Print Prep Technicians.
• Responsible for replenishing supplies and materials for assigned area.
• Responsible for inventory of consumables.
• Conducts inspection of materials and finished product.
• Maintain and clean machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Other activities as directed by the graphics department.
• Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
