Job summary

Mauser-Packaging-Solutions is seeking an experienced Pressman to support our lithography operations in Cincinnati. You will participate in all aspects of sheet feed lithography and assist in packaging for internal and external use, under supervision.

This intermediate role covers setting ink, loading stock, and ensuring readiness for daily production needs. You will work 2nd or 3rd shift as scheduled, handling plates, inks, and stock while maintaining safety and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous lithography experience required.
• Must be able to use scale and margin guides.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends and holidays.

• Verify job ticket specifications and assure that all materials needed to produce jobs are available.
• Run print jobs upon obtaining quality check approval from group leader or manager.
• Maintain consistency of quality throughout press runs.
• Troubleshoot problems with jobs and/or press as necessary.
• Remove plates and inks and wash-up press upon completion of orders and otherwise maintain the press in good working order.

Job description

Position Summary:
Under supervision, participates in all aspects of sheet feed Lithography.
Pressman is an intermediate skill level in Printing & Coating. They perform a range of skilled duties in Lithography & coating in the Material center.

Support plant production needs for daily operation, changeovers, and preparation for shipments. Primarily responsible for assisting in packaging of product of internal and external use.

Responsibilities

• Perform all press make-ready functions in accordance with safety and quality guidelines
• Hang plates, load ink, load stock.
• Bring and maintain ink settings to and at proper levels.
• Verify job ticket specifications and assure that all materials needed to produce jobs are available.
• Run print jobs upon obtaining quality check approval from group leader or manager.
• Maintain consistency of quality throughout press runs.
• Remove plates and inks and wash-up press upon completion of orders and otherwise maintain the press in good working order.
• Troubleshoot problems with jobs and/or press as necessary.
• Report any press malfunctions or problems with jobs which cannot be easily resolved to either group leader or manager.
• Report any shortage or low level of press room supplies to group leader or manager.
• Performs other production tasks associated with Offset Printing.
• Performs other general tasks as assigned
