Job summary

The Boys Club of New York is seeking a Photography Teaching Artist to build a comprehensive photography program for boys ages 6–21 in a youth center. You will develop and teach engaging classes, combining darkroom and digital photography to boost confidence, self-expression, and empowerment.

Responsibilities include creating curricula, evaluating student progress, organizing displays, and collaborating with BCNY staff to foster creativity and positive youth development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed degree in photography or related field.
• Experience teaching or administering lesson plans preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in educational or youth settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum promoting youth development through photography in darkroom and digital formats.
• Observe and evaluate student progress and provide improvement suggestions.
• Organize opportunities for members to display work.
