Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED in Boston is seeking a Scanning Specialist to provide high-fidelity scans of people, props, and environments for our 3D artists in an on-site, full-time capacity.

This role is part of the Shared Development Services (SDS) group within a larger Warsaw-led scanning team; you will participate in photogrammetry sessions, post-processing, and collaborate with the Boston Motion Capture team across time zones.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with photogrammetry.
• Experience with RealityScan or Agisoft Metashape.
• Good photography principles and camera operation.
• Proficiency in ZBrush, Maya, or Blender.

Responsibilities

• Conduct head and body scanning sessions with actors using our in-house scanning rig.
• Capture high-quality 3D scans of props in the studio.
• Scouting locations and conduct environment scanning.
• Process captured images into 3D assets using photogrammetry workflows.
• Capture high-quality 2D scans of materials and textures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot scanning studio equipment and hardware.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and pipelines by researching and evaluating new technologies and workflows.
• Lend support to the Boston Motion Capture team with on-stage activities as needed.
