Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Scanning Specialist in Boston to deliver high‑fidelity scans of people, props, and environments for our 3D artists. You will work within the SDS group and collaborate with teams across time zones, enhancing tools and pipelines while supporting the Boston Motion Capture unit on site.

The role combines photogrammetry scanning sessions with post‑processing, plus ongoing knowledge sharing and tooling improvements to advance scanning workflows in a fast‑paced studio

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with photogrammetry.
• Experience with photogrammetry software such as RealityScan and Agisoft Metashape.
• Good understanding of photography principles and camera operation.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (ZBrush, Maya, or Blender).
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality scan data.
• Flexibility and openness to problem-solving and learning.
• Willingness to share knowledge with teammates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct head and body scanning sessions with actors using in-house scanning rig.
• Capture high-quality 3D scans of props in the studio.
• Scouting locations and environment scanning.
• Process captured images into 3D assets via photogrammetry workflows.
• Capture high-quality 2D scans of materials and textures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot scanning studio equipment and hardware.
• Contribute to internal tools and pipelines by researching new technologies and workflows.
• Lend on-stage support to the Boston Motion Capture team as needed.
