Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Photo Process Technician to support manufacturing and system operations for memory chips and logic across setup, calibration, and testing. You will work with engineers and manufacturing to optimize processes, perform maintenance, and analyze data to drive improvements.

The role emphasizes following SOPs, in-line adjustments, and ensuring safety and environmental guidelines are met; the candidate should have technical certification and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect operating data and conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes.

Position Summary

In your role as a Photo Process Technician you’ll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. You'll also use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

  • Collecting and evaluating operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes.
  • Determining and assisting in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
  • Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.
  • Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Following standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.
  • Troubleshooting: Conducting failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
  • Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitoring equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Associates degree or other technical certification.
  • Experienced Pharmacy Tech, Dental Assistant or other medical technologist (external equivalent). or 4 years equivalent technical Military service.
  • 2+ years prior work experience
  • Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
  • Familiar with TPM concepts

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

Day Shifts Include
  • A Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays
  • C Shift - Thursday through Saturday (6:45am - 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays
