What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer phones and schedule appointments for patients
- Verify insurance information and assist with patient inquiries
- Call patients to schedule appointments based on faxed referrals from providers
- Reschedule appointments as needed and respond to patient portal inquiries
- Manage emails sent by nursing staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required
- Must be located within the states of TN, GA, or AL
- Previous experience with information management in a medical office or similar setting is preferred
- Completion of a program of study in medical terminology and legal aspects of medical information management is preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related administrative role
- Familiarity with medical scheduling software
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
