Office-based in Phoenix with collaboration across project teams. The position requires a BSCE, strong technical skills in HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD, plus the ability to mentor EIT staff and manage project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Professional Licensed PE required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
  • Minimum 5 years’ drainage engineering.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and Communication Skills.
  • Works well in a Team Environment.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques.
  • Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS 2D, HEC-HMS, and FLO-2D.
  • Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting.
  • Research jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
  • Oversee production of drainage design and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Perform data management and prepare exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS.
  • Work as a member of a multi-discipline team.
  • Mentor EIT staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic theory and practice.
  • Conduct site visits and document findings.
  • Write and coordinate preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents.
