Responsibilities

• Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS 2D, HEC-HMS, and FLO-2D.
• Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting.
• Research jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
• Oversee production of drainage design and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform data management and prepare exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS.
• Work as a member of a multi-discipline team.
• Mentor EIT staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic theory and practice.
• Conduct site visits and document findings.
• Write and coordinate preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents.

Role Description:

Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Hydraulic/Hydrology Engineer/Project Manager at our Phoenix office. Preference is a licensed engineer in the state of Arizona with minimum 5 years of experience. Experience in the Phoenix area is desired. The role will work collaboratively in a team environment providing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis modeling and design for public infrastructure and flood control projects.
