Job summary

Snell & Wilmer is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for its Phoenix office to oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Trust & Retainer accounting functions. The role emphasizes GAAP knowledge, leadership, and process improvement within a major Western U.S. law firm.

You will supervise staff, ensure accuracy and compliance, and collaborate across treasury and audit teams to support firm goals.

Qualifications

• CPA license in good standing.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with banking platforms and expense management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP, AR, and Trust & Retainer accounting functions.
• Lead monthly check-ins with AP/AR/Trust teams.
• Review vendor forms and approve payments.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Director on cash positioning and reporting.
• Partner with internal audit and control processes.
