Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a phlebotomy technician to support specimen collection across patient areas. Responsibilities include pre-analytic processing, labeling and distributing specimens, and venipuncture-based blood collection.

Required are a high school diploma and the ability to collect urine samples when needed; phlebotomy program completion or one year of experience preferred. This is a full-time on-site role with a mission-driven healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and/or high school graduation or the equivalent.
• 1 year experience preferred and/ or graduation from phlebotomy program

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens; collects specimens; accessions, labels and distributes specimens including blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture in all patient areas
• Instructs patients in the collection of urine samples and tolerance test in all patient areas.
