Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory blood work.
• Perform blood draws
• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
• Prepare blood or bone marrow slides for evaluation.
• Receive lab reports via telephone, lab system, or fax and document in patient records.
• Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
• Initiate troubleshooting procedures when instrument malfunction occurs in the absence of Lab QA Specialist.
