Job summary

Zangmeister Cancer Center is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform phlebotomy, blood work, and quality control within a clinical lab. The role requires accuracy, regulatory compliance, and excellent sample handling.

The candidate will work across processes to support patient care in a cancer center setting. Responsibilities include preparing slides, documenting results in EMR, training new staff, and being flexible to work at multiple company locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform proper quality control procedures before proceeding with patient testing.
• Perform laboratory blood work.
• Perform blood draws.
• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
• Perform technical laboratory procedures in accordance with accrediting/regulatory standards.
• Prepare blood or bone marrow slides for evaluation.
• Receive lab reports via telephone, lab system, or fax and document in EMR.
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomy.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and HIPAA.
