Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician Per Diem Evening shift to register outpatients, draw blood samples and perform EKGs. The role requires adapting to patients across all ages, with supervision by the Phlebotomy Supervisor.

Per diem evenings offer flexible scheduling in a busy hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have terminology and coding knowledge, strong customer service, and bilingual Spanish/English abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical Terminology, ICD 10 coding and CRT data experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of third party payer, federal and state regulations desired.
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic team player.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred.

Phlebotomy

The Phlebotomy Technician Per Diem Evenings will:

Responsible for accurately registering outpatients, obtaining blood samples and performing EKG, demonstrating knowledge and skills as appropriate to the age and level of difficulty of the patient (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics). Performs routine and assigned functions under the direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and/or designee.

Requirements

Salary Range:24.00 - 24.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
