CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, specimen collection, processing, and referrals in a hospital environment in Alexandria, Louisiana.

You will operate the laboratory information system, ensure specimen integrity, and coordinate with nurses and physicians to meet regulatory standards and provide quality patient care. An emphasis on accurate data entry, organization, and bilingual English/Spanish communication is preferred.

Qualificações

• High School diploma preferred.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy; Medical Laboratory; or Medical Assistant program that includes phlebotomy preferred.
• Familiar with medical terminology; computer data entry; good organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs all duties of a phlebotomist: specimen collection (venipuncture, capillary), processing and referrals.
• Ensures specimen integrity and proper labeling.
• Operates the laboratory computer system to document specimen information and orders.
• Coordinates services with nursing and other staff to ensure quality and cost-efficient operations.
• Maintains clean, organized collection areas and restocks supplies as needed.
• Assists with on-call, inventory, and special projects as assigned.
