Job summary

You will perform venipuncture, specimen collection, accessioning, and processing, and support clerical tasks in a busy outpatient setting.

This 20% time per diem role requires lifting up to 44 lbs, ability to work variable shifts, and compliance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician with CA licensure; ability to collect blood from adults, pediatrics and neonates in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Familiar with laboratory specimen handling, processing and shipping.
• Proficient with EMR, LIS, email and Microsoft Office; strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture for adolescent to geriatric patients.
• Handle specimen accessioning, processing and dispatch as needed.
• Provide clerical support and maintain accurate records and inventory.
