Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Venipuncture Technician for the Rock Hill MOB Laboratory. You will collect blood specimens, verify patient IDs, and prepare specimens for analysis in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a basic venipuncture training, and fluent English. CNA I/II or phlebotomy certification is preferred; hospital or clinic experience is a plus. Training is provided; schedule is M-F with 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA I/II or certified phlebotomist preferred.
• Successful completion of venipuncture training required.
• Must speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Uses lab information system to remove, assess and collect specimens per requisition.
• Obtains blood specimens using proper equipment (vein puncture).
• Verifies patient identification on each requisition and records details.
• Delivers specimens to appropriate lab area for testing.
• Seeks supervisor assistance for unfamiliar procedures.
