Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Venipuncture Technician in Rock Hill, SC, to collect and process blood specimens for the laboratory. 24 hours per week, M-F 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with days varying by business need.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED; CNA I/II or Certified Phlebotomist preferred. Fluency in English; hospital or clinic experience is a plus. Health benefits and competitive compensation included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA I or II or Certified Phlebotomist preferred.
• Successful completion of venipuncture training recommended.

Responsibilities

• Use LIS to process and collect specimens per test requisition.
• Collect blood specimens using proper equipment.
• Verify patient identification on requisitions and documents.
• Deliver specimens to the correct laboratory department.
• Seek supervisor guidance for unfamiliar procedures.
