UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC invites applications for a phlebotomist to perform a variety of phlebotomy procedures and point-of-care testing to support the clinical activities of the Healthcare System.

Qualifications include one year of phlebotomy experience or completion of a phlebotomy program; no licensure or certification required. This is a full-time, onsite role with a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• One year of phlebotomy experience required, or graduation from a phlebotomy program; no previous experience required otherwise.

Responsabilités

• Consults with healthcare providers and patients regarding phlebotomy service issues.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of work.
• Investigates problems with equipment, patient results, specimens or workflow.
• May participate on teams or do special projects/assignments.
• May teach/train new employees, phlebotomy students, or other healthcare providers.
• May review test results and report them to providers.
• Performs phlebotomy procedures, quality control and equipment maintenance.
• Monitors daily operation of the lab work area.
