Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform specimen procurement procedures (venipunctures, fingersticks, heelsticks) on patients of all ages across hospital areas, outpatient services and off-site facilities. You will organize incoming requests for collections and respond promptly, using safety collection devices as described in the Specimen Procurement manual.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP, NCA, etc).
• Must be able to travel between facilities as needed.
