Job summary

The American Red Cross in Livonia, Michigan, is seeking a phlebotomy-ready team member to support donor care and blood collection at fixed sites. Training is paid, with opportunities to develop healthcare skills within the organization.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in public setting.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long hours.
• Basic computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors personally to explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and regulatory standards.
