Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician II to support patient care in the Patient & Laboratory Services team. Under supervision, you perform phlebotomy tasks, specimen preparation, client services, reagent and supply management, and routine QC in a licensed laboratory.

The position requires 3+ years of technical phlebotomy experience, strong medical terminology, and a California CPT certificate when duties include phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical phlebotomy experience.
• Experience in medical terminology sufficient to discuss pathology and laboratory medicine.
• Valid California CPT Certificate verifiable by CDPH when duties include phlebotomy.
• AA degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient preparation and specimen preparation.
• Client service activities and specimen accessioning.
• Preparation and management of reagents and supplies, and performing QC functions.
• May be asked to take direction from a Lead or Senior level position.
